Entertainment for all ages at the Depot Stage

The Depot Stage is the place for a great variety of entertaining acts including science demonstrations, dog shows, dance performances, and live music. Headlining the festival are The Elders, an Irish American folk rock band and an area favorite for fans of all ages. The stage, located on SE Main Street just south of 2nd street, will feature performances throughout the weekend of the festival. Feature Activities

  • Carnival - Enjoy rides, games, and food; open all hours of the festival. Sunday is wristband day where you can purchase a wristband for $20 and ride unlimited rides during festival hours. Located at 3rd and Green streets.
  • SMOKIN' on the Summit BBQ Competition - This BBQ Competition is a fundraiser presented by Construction and Abatement Services, Inc. and organized by the Downtown Lee’s Summit Rotary Club. The annual event is KCBS sanctioned and a Missouri State Championship event. Over 80 teams will compete for a $10,000 purse and the right to be the 2016 Grand Champion of one of the Midwest’s premiere BBQ competitions. Located at 3rd and SW Main streets.
  • Kids' Street - Games, face painting, White Tigers Exhibit, food and more available all weekend. Located on Douglas Street between 3rd and 2nd streets.
  • White Tigers Exhibit - After taking a year off, the white tiger exhibit is back! Come see LIVE white tigers, feed them, and get your picture taken with the roaring duo (small fee applies). Located on Kids' Street just south of Douglas and 2nd streets.
  • Sports & Autograph Booth - This booth will feature guest appearances by local athletes and team mascots. Autographs and giveaways will be available throughout the weekend. Located at SE Main and 3rd streets.
  • Classic Car Show - The South 71 Cruisers Car Club will have their classic cars lined up near 3rd and SW Main streets on Sunday from 11a.m. to 4p.m. Located on SW Main Street just south of 3rd Street.
  • Robotics Demonstrations - Local, world-class student robotics teams will showcase their robot creations on Sunday, weather permitting. The demonstrations will be located at 3rd and SW Main streets and will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Located on SW Main Street just north of 3rd Street.
