General Information

The Downtown Days…Streets Alive! festival is an annual tradition that takes place the first full weekend in June in the vibrant and award-winning Downtown Lee’s Summit, just 20 miles southeast of Kansas City, Missouri. Each year, more than 80,000 people kick off the summer by attending the Downtown Days…Streets Alive! festival. The festival spans six city blocks and highlights include live entertainment, a variety of vendors, BBQ contest, carnival, kids area and more! This year’s event is from June 7-9, 2013. Festival hours are noon to 10 p.m. Friday, June 7; 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, June 8; and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 9.

Parking

Guests to the 2013 Downtown Days…Streets Alive! festival can park in open public parking lots in and around Downtown Lee’s Summit, including the City Hall covered parking garage at the corner of 2nd & Green streets. On-street parking also is available.

From the North: Take 1-29 South/US-71 South, continue on I-70 East towards St. Louis, merge onto I-470 South/MO-291 South towards Lee's Summit, exit and turn left onto Douglas Street.

From the East: Take I-70 West towards Kansas City, merge onto I-470/MO-291 South toward Lee's Summit, exit and turn left onto Douglas Street.

From the West: Take I-435 South, continue on I-470 East/US-50 East/US-71 South toward Grandview/Lee's Summit, merge onto I-470 East/US-50 East, exit and turn right onto Douglas Street.

From the South: Head North on MO-291, continue on SW Jefferson Street, turn right on SW 3rd Street.
